Travelling in Style

Travelling in style / stilvolles Reisen

Mercedes 300 S Roadster

Wouldn’t it be lovely to be able to travel like this – made to order Louis Vuitton Epi luggage for your rarerer than rare vintage car – a Mercedes-Benz 300 S Roadster from the 1950’ies?  No, this luggage was not made for the car, it doesn’t even fit – but car, luggage and the color combination are quite a stunning eye catcher, aren’t they? Travelling in style can be quite nice…

I have always wanted a set of red luggage!

My very first set of self purchased suitcases where a pinkish metallic color set of – I believe – Samsonite suitcases. I could spot them anywhere! And another good thing was that everybody else in my family thought they were ugly, so I had them all to myself 😀

Ha ha! Love traveling in style! …even if the luggage doesn’t quite fit. We used to have an MG roadster with the metal bumbers and the luggage rack! And pig skin suitcases for weekends away. Sooooo impractical!

Oh, how lovely! I can picture the car with the luggage rack and the pig skin suitcase. I love them – so nostalgic and chic at the same time. Impractical? Who cares 😉

Yes, it would indeed be lovely. Hmmm…
But as we stand in our bare feet in endless queues, our trousers threatening to fall down because we’ve taken the belt off, stripped of our jewelry…there hardly seems a point in bothering. A shopping cart would be more suitable for the lack of glamour of modern travel!
    But you’re right, we can dream… 🙂

Where would we be if we couldn’t dream?
For my kind of travel my black samsonite with colored luggage tag and TSA-lock will do 🙂

Well, with red luggage your perfectly equipped, because you’ll always spot them on the belt or elsewhere.
My regular suitcase is black and I add colored luggage tags and TSA locks, so that I’ll recognize it upon arrival.
The ones on the picture are beautiful, but impractical for my normal kind of travel 😉
Maybe, if we ever win the lottery and go on our cruise, we might rethink the luggage option 😀 xo

When we win on the lottery – get our LV red luggage … or hopefully they do it in purple too – because we can’t have the same color or ???? So looking forward to that cruise and I won 3 Euros last week. *smile We will play together when I come to Vienna.
