Sardinia , the mediterranean sea / das Mittelmeer vor Sardinien

Sardinia , the mediterranean sea / das Mittelmeer vor Sardinien

Since posting my orange tulips a few days ago, the weather has finally changed for the better and lets keep our fingers crossed it’ll stay that way! Now I’m already looking forward to a few days on Sardinia’s Costa Smeralda (emerald coast) , which is in the Mediterranean Sea and famous for its turquoise, clear water      🙂

      🙂     Stay HAPPY!      🙂

      🙂      Bleiben Sie FRÖHLICH      🙂

Yes, thank you, Janet, it is :-D! One of the best places in the world if you really want to relax and go for a good swim! 🙂

Although it’s warming up in NE Ohio, the thought of a swim still seems much too chilly. Of course, a trip to where it’s warm enough to swim sounds enticing!

Oh, I am still far away from swimming – we just got rid of our last snow here in Vienna! And I’m still wearing a shawl and have the down coat handy… But in the Mediterranean weather and temperatures are already so much warmer 🙂

Vienna. A lovely place. I was there years ago (in the 70’s). My best memories, besides the pastries, was seeing a practice at the Spanish Riding School, something I’ve always wanted to see. There were no tickets for performances available but I love every minute. I’ve seen Lipizzaners since in the States but to see them there was very special.

Ja, es ist wirklich traumhaft dort. Ich hoffe sehr, dass ich eher früher als später dorthin fliegen kann. Aber wir sehen uns vorher 🙂 ! Freue mich schon! Schöne Restwoche noch und herzliche Grüße 🙂

Sardinia have I been thinking of for a long time … always been there in back of my mind – and with a water like that … when are you going. Not at all envy *smile

It is so beautiful there – we’ll go late in summer and maybe sometime earlier, too. But that depends on so many things – you know how it goes 🙂

I just booked flights for later in summer, but maybe we can squeeze in a couple of days before in June or so 😉 I’ll let you know… 🙂

Yes, if I may say so. It is worth a trip – the island is very nice, the inhabitants extremely friendly, food is delicious and the water unbeatable. And for watching people – an afternoon spent in Porto Cervo – nothing beats that! 🙂
