A couple of years ago I found this beautiful Hermès Vibrato Picotin. No need to stress how much I am in love with its colors – pink, orange and a shade of purple, all of them favorite colors of mine that you will find in my closet, too. The shades are HAPPY and bright and will lighten up any grey day. I wore it when I went to the Hermès Festival des Métiers in Hamburg last year and showed you more on how I wear it here.
Vor ein paar Jahren fand ich diese wunderschöne Hermès Vibrato Picotin. Ich bauche gar nicht weiter zu betonen wie sehr ich ihre Farben liebe – pink, orange und dazu ein violett, alles Lieblingsfarben von mir, die sich in meinem Kleiderschrank wieder finden. Es sind leuchtend fröhliche Farben, die jeden grauen Tag zum Strahlen bringen. Mich hat die Tasche im letzten Jahr in Hamburg zum Hermès Festival des Métiers begleitet und ich zeigte Ihnen hier, wie ich sie trage.

It has no pockets and no gadgets inside and is soft structured, which make the bag extremely light – a huge plus. The downside is that it collapses and can get extremely messy inside and I have to dig to find pen and chewing gum when in need. I hate that. Some survey said that women spend 76 days digging in their bags for things. Can you imagine – 76 days? That’s more then two precious months of my life. Forget it!
Die Tasche ist ganz weich und hat keine Taschen und auch sonst keine Spielereien in ihrem Inneren. Der Nachteil daran ist, dass sie zusammenfällt, es ziemlich unordentlich werden kann und ich ewig kramen muss, um Stift und Kaugummi zu finden. Ich hasse es. Irgend eine Studie besagt, dass wir 76 Tage unseres Lebens mit der Sucherei in unseren Taschen verbringen. 76 Tage – können Sie sich das vorstellen? Das sind mehr als zwei wertvolle Monate meines Lebens. Ohne mich!

As an avid reader of MaiTai’s Picture Book, I keep track of all the pretty and practical things the MaiTai Collection offers. Mai Tai Collection Organizer Insert “lilac” for Picotin PM
Being a fairly practical person I ordered the “lilac” colored organizer insert, it’s a lovely color and easy to handle. First I had toyed with the idea to get it in “rose”, but found it too delicate after all.
Ich bin ein ziemlich praktischer Mensch und habe mir den Organizer/Einsatz deshalb in der Farbe “lilac” bestellt. Mir gefällt die Farbe sehr gut und sie ist im täglichen Gebrauch sicherlich unkompliziert. Mein erstes Augenmerk hatte ich auf “rose” gelegt, aber ich hielt die Farbe dann doch für zu empfindlich.

The insert is made with very much love for detail – the padding, the contrasting stitching, the sizes of the pockets and even the brand’s logo is integrated discreetly, but artfully beautiful. It’s the perfect companion for my Vibrato Picotin bag and does the craft of the Hermès maroquiniers justice.

Love the bag – the colors, but I know what you mean … when there is no pockets or anything inside, have a leather bag like that – and it’s a nightmare, even it goes plenty inside.
Also I don’t like that it doesn’t close properly – no zip – Great personal gift.
Fantastic find! Tried to check out MaiTai’s Picture Book – but the website doesn’t exist … I’m told.

🙂 No zip is definitely a down side. This is why I keep my little Pochette Accessoires in there, because it has a zip!
