Coming from a city that has lots of water, I enjoy a boat ride, not just in Hamburg. Getting around by Star Ferry in Hong Kong was one of the things I relished in most during my holiday last week. I think time spent on the water is so extremely relaxing.
Meine Heimatstadt verfügt über sehr viel Wasser und so ist es kein Wunder, dass ich Bootsfahrten mag, nicht nur in Hamburg. Es war eines meiner größten Vergnügen in der letzten Woche in Hongkong mit der Star Ferry unterwegs zu sein, denn Zeit auf dem Wasser verbringen zu können, empfinde ich als unwahrscheinlich entspannend.

According to Wikipedia 70,000 people use the Star Ferry on a daily basis to commute between Tsim Sha Tsui (Kowloon), Central Star Ferry Pier and Wan Chai. It’s become a tourist attraction and is also said to be one of the best value for money trips. Apart from that I am one of Star Ferry’s biggest fan.
Laut Wikipedia benutzen täglich 70.000 Personen die Star Ferry, um zwischen Tsim Sha Tsui (Kowloon), Central Star Ferry Pier und Wan Chai zu pendeln. Eine Fahrt mit der Star Ferry ist zu einer Touristenattraktion avanciert und es wird gesagt, dass die Fahrt eine der günstigsten Ausflug-Möglichkeiten ist. Davon einmal abgesehen, bin ich ein großer Fan der Star Ferry!

The one-way fare is between HK$ 2,50 − 3.40, depending on the travel day and it’s possible to pay it either with a token or by Octopus card, before entering the vessel.
Eine Einzelfahrt kostet zwischen HKD 2,50 – HKD 3,40, je nachdem an welchem Tag die Fahrt stattfinden soll und sie kann entweder mit einem sogenannten Token, einer speziellen Münze, oder mit der Octopus Karte vor Einstieg bezahlt werden.

Ferries leave every couple of minutes, so there is never a long wait to get from A to B.
Die Schiffe fahren alle paar Minuten, so dass man nie lange darauf warten muss, von A nach B fahren zu können.

Our hotel was located in Kowloon and so we travelled almost every day by Star Ferry to either the Central Star Ferry Pier or to Wan Chai, in order to visit the sights on the other side of Victoria Bay.
