Last year when watching the glove maker carefully going about his work at the Hermès Festival des Métiers in Hamburg, one of the interpreters caught my attention. She had a spectacular hairdo – her hair was artfully braided. And to top it off and add Hermès flair, she had incorporated a silk scarf into her headdress. The scarf is Graff in blues and reds.
Als ich im vergangen Jahr in Hamburg dem Hanschuhmacher zuschaute, wie er seiner Arbeit beim Hermès Festival des Métiers umsichtig nachging, wurde ich auf eine Übersetzerin aufmerksam. Sie trug eine ganz ungewöhnliche Frisur. Ihre Haare waren kunstvoll geflochten und um ihren Haaren noch etwas Hermès Flair zu geben, hatte sie ein Seidentuch mit eingewoben. Es ist das Graff Tuch in blau und rot.

Just as I was about to leave the museum I passed a lady who was carefully drawing the interpreter’s hairdo. Artists among themselves. A true Festival des Métiers.
Gerade als ich das Museum verlassen wollte, kam ich an einer Dame vorbei, die vorsichtig die Frisur der Übersetzerin zeichnete. Künstler unter sich. Ein wahres Festival der Handwerkskunst.
