unbezahlte Werbung für eine Graffiti Pochette

Well, actually Cee’s challenge calls for Graffiti and Murals here. But since my blogger friends and I did a blog hop on “All about Bags” here a few weeks ago, where I showed my Graffiti Pochette,  I figured I might as well use it for this challenge.

Eigentlich heisst es in Cee’s Challenge Graffiti und Wandbilder. Aber da meine Blogger-Freunde und ich vor wenigen Wochen eine All about Bags Blogparade gemacht haben, beschloss ich diese Pochette zu zeigen.

GRAFFITI

By now you probably know that I’m a bit of a nutcase when it comes to bags. Especially smaller ones from Louis Vuitton called Pochette Accessoires – accessory pouch. I’ve collected a few over the past 20 something years.

Inzwischen wissen Sie ja sicherlich, dass ich ein wenig verrückt bin, wenn’s um Taschen geht. Insbesondere um kleine Louis Vuitton Modelle – die Pochette Accessoires. In den vergangenen 20 Jahren haben sich ein paar angesammelt.

WAIT A SEC…

My little collection consists mainly of limited editions. The first one of its kind was the Graffiti, which was designed by Stephen Sprouse for Louis Vuitton in 2001. To this day I like the combination of the traditional LV Monogram canvas mixed with something unexpected, something new.

Meine kleine Sammlung besteht in erster Linie aus limitierten Editionen. Die erste dieser Kategorie war die Graffiti, die Stephen Sprouse 2001 für Louis Vuitton designte. Bis heute mag ich die Kombination aus dem traditionellen LV Monogram, gepaart mit etwas Unerwartetem, etwas Neuem.

…WE’LL HAVE A LIMITED EDITION SHORTLY!

I guess that and the little sentence some sales clerks whisper “we have a new limited edition coming soon…” triggers something inside of me that screams “I want it!”. But lo and behold I’ve also sold a few of these limited editions that I found either too tacky or too plasticky and never regretted doing so.

Vermutlich ist es das und der kleine Satz “in Kürze wird es eine neue limitierte Edition geben…” den man ab und zu von einem Verkäufer geflüstert bekommt, der dieses “will ich haben!” triggert. Aber, sieh an, einige dieser Sondereditionen habe ich schon wieder verkauft, weil sie mr entweder zu geschmacklos oder zu plastikartig waren. Das habe ich keine Sekunde bereut.

WHERE’s THE BEACH?

When I met with two of my cousins in Santa Monica last year, they took me to Sidecar Doughnuts, where I had the most amazing Saigon Cinnamon Crumb here. On the side of the building I saw this fella, who seems to be looking for the beach (it’s only 7 blocks away). Quite a mural, isn’t it?

Als ich mich im vergangenen Jahr mit zwei meiner Cousinen in Santa Monica traf, führten sie mich zu Sidecar Doughnuts aus, wo ich den köstlichsten Saigon Cinnamon Crumb gegessen habe. An der Seite des Gebäudes war dieser Kerl zu sehen, der scheinbar nach dem Strand Ausschau hielt (und der ist ohnehin nur 7 Blocks entfernt). 

I’m so much looking forward to a couple of days by the beach! Have you planned anything? Or are you staying put due to Corona?

Ich freu mich schon so sehr auf ein paar Tagen am Strand! Haben Sie etwas in nächster Zeit geplant oder werden Sie wegen Corona Daheim bleiben?
