I think today’s Share Your World questions could be referred to as an emotions edition, because they deal with emotions in general and how we relate to them. Here we go:
I.
Is it necessary to trust someone you like? (friends, acquaintances or co-workers with whom you have no familial ties)
Yes. I think trust is the foundation of all relationships. This counts also for people I work with closely, although I have no familial ties with them.

Do you hold grudges? What do you do when someone really irritates you?
It takes a very long time to truly upset me. But once someone has crossed that border and communication is no longer possible, I hold a very big and maybe even a very long grudge against that person. He or she remains persona non grata for a long, long time.
However, generally I think holding grudges are not worth the time and the emotions. Most of the time we argue about small potatoes, so why get all worked up for basically nothing?

What’s the most sensible thing you’ve heard someone say?
„…Don’t fight over the cutlery – you can buy everything new!“ That’s what my dad said that to me when I told him some 25years ago that I was getting a divorce. I hadn’t expected this wise piece of advice at that moment in time. It has stuck with me ever since and changed a lot in my way of looking at things and „stuff“ we accumulate. I ask myself more and more: do I really need that? Can I part from it? Why can’t I part from it? Why does it hold so many emotions? I guess this would be a question for another Share your world.
.
Is crying a sign of weakness or strength in adults?
I believe that crying definitely is a sign of strength in adults. Being able to let out and show emotions shows that a person is at peace with him or herself and that he or she doesn’t care what other people think or say.

my red amaryllis – lots of HAPPY emotions
.
What small things were you grateful for this week?
I am grateful for the beautiful amaryllis I purchased a few days prior to Christmas. It’s been in full bloom twice since then. And now a third bloom is slowly approaching. Hence I’m showing you a couple of pictures of it to accompany this week’s Share your world emotions post.

Thank you Claudia for Sharing Your World and that beautiful plant! You are a grand photographer! I liked your answers, they were all very thoughtful. I especially enjoyed the ‘sensible advice’ one. I like that and will try to remember it when I get fretting about something inconsequential. It’s great! Have a wonderful week!

🙂 Thank YOU, dear Melanie,
for the interesting questions!
Amaryllis are my favorite winter flowers (especially the dark red ones) and I make sure that I keep a pop of color in my place during the cold, rainy and gray winter days.
Stay safe, take care and have a very HAPPY weekend! 🙂

That flower is gorgeous, Claudia. 🙂 If I could afford it, I’d have fresh flowers all the time. I agree with you about trust. You can work with someone you don’t trust but no effectively.
Hugs!

🙂 Dear Janet,
the amaryllis I presently have are plants and not fresh cut flowers.
I’m a real bad plant murderer, but somehow we like each other so much, that I try to treat them well and they respond by surviving my treatment. I guess I’m learning… positive side effects of being at home most of the time these days.
Bug hugs bag and stay safe! xo 🙂
