A very ragged Mercedes-Benz 190 SL – RDP Challenge

.

Today’s Ragtag Daily Prompt HERE calls for everything ragged. As you may know I have this thing for vintage cars and have done several related posts, i.e. HERE and HERE. I grew up with cars. Hence I like the sounds of their engines and their often very unique bodywork. These days most of the new cars look more or less alike to me and they no longer ignite a spark of interest, except for a very few classic models. It’s a very personal point of view, I know.

RUSTY AND RAGGED…

I have a very dear friend here in Austria, who’s an exceptionally gifted car guy. He’s not only got the knowledge of most car related dictionaries combined in his head, but he’s got it in his hands as well. If you need his help he always knows how and what needs to be fixed and repaired. Moreover his works are full of interesting things – vehicles, spare parts and scrap cars. The ragged car in these photos is what’s left of a Mercedes-Benz 190 SL HERE that was stored on his lot.

what’s left of the Mercedes 190 SL – a BP sticker

.

Although I have no clue if there is anything left that could be re-used from this vintage and ragged Mercedes 190 SL, what’s left is a sticker of BP (former British Petroleum). It shows what kind of oil was used in the engine.

…OR READY TO ROLL

Do you know what the ragged Mercedes 190 SL looked like before it crashed? Here’s a shot of the same model, although this one is in excellent condition.

I’ll head over now to DrKottaway’s Rag Tag Daily prompt page and check out the other entries with ragged photos and stories. Will you, too?

🙂     HAVE A VERY HAPPY WEEK AND STAY HEALTHY!       🙂
